Premier League Rivals Interested In Charlie Taylor
Clarets left-back Charlie Taylor is currently being monitored by Premier League high flyers Leicester City as they compile a list of prospective defenders in the event of Ben Chilwell leaving the club in the summer. Chilwell has progress in the last couple of years which has earned the full-back interntaional honours with England and that has lead to interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspurs.
Brendan Rodgers, the Leicester manager will not want to lose the defender ahead of what is likely to be a return to the Champions League next season, but as he saw with the sale of Harry Maguire to Manchester United last summer there is a threshold at which the club will sell.
Speaking about being at Burnley Football Club, Charlie Taylor said, “It is a really good club and in the two years that I’ve been here I have experienced Europe and Premier League football, It’s a really good group of lads and a really good place to be at the minute.
I think without being disrespectful to us but we want to stay up and be a Premier League team but there is nothing to say that we can’t push on from there. We have experienced European football whilst I have been here and if we did that again that would be great but if not then a top ten finish is an excellent target and who knows how far we can go.”
