Ian Woan – Clarets Assistant Manager Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Burnley Football Club have this evening confirmed that one member of the clubs staff has tested positive for coronavirus following a test on Sunday 17th May 2020. The football club has advised that assistant manager Ian Woan has Covid-19 and is now self-isolate for a period of seven days. The clubs playing staff were all tested last weekend as part of the Premier League “Project Re-start” ahead of a returning to training.
In line with strict Premier League requirements and following a positive test Ian Woan will now stay away from the club next week, before being tested again week commencing the 25th May 2020. The club would like to confirm that Ian is asymptomatic and is currently safe and well at home. He will remain in close communication with the club regarding his re-engagement in training once he is clear of the virus.
