Will Harris Joins Sunderland After Being Released By The Clarets
Sunderland AFC are pleased to confirm the signing of Will Harris to link up with Elliott Dickman’s U23 team. The nineteen year old striker has put pen to paper on a one-year contract on Wearside after leaving Premier League outfit Burnley last month.

Born in South Shields, Will Harris joins the Sky Bet League One club after three years with the Clarets, which included loan spells with Northern Premier League sides Colne FC and Warrington Town. He becomes Sunderland U23’s fifth signing of the summer after Bobby Beaumont, Sam Wilding, Vinnie Steels and Kenton Richardson.
Following his arrival on Wearside, Will Harris said, “Being a local lad, it’s a dream come true to sign a contract with Sunderland. I’m delighted to be here, and I can’t wait to get started.” Whilst U23 head coach Elliott Dickman added, “We’re really pleased to get this deal done. We had Will on trial before lockdown and we liked what we saw. He has alot of attributes that should really benefit us, we’re looking forward to working with him.”
