Clarets Close to Signing Liverpool Winger Harry Wilson
Burnley Football Club are in talks with Liverpool over a move for Harry Wilson. The Clarets want the Wales international on a permanent deal, however a fee is yet to be agreed but there is a degree of confidence a move will happen. A move would end the winger’s fourteen year stay at Anfield after he joined the club’s U9’s.
Wilson has made just one appearance for the Reds against Plymouth in the FA Cup back in 2017. He spent last season on loan at AFC Bournemouth, playing thirty five times scoring seven goals, but he could not help the Cherries beat relegation from the Premier League.
He also had spells at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City and Derby County almost helping the Rams to the Premier League in 2019, before losing the Sky Bet Championship play-off final to Aston Villa.
The Clarets remain determined to keep James Tarkowski having rejected two offers from West Ham United for the defender. Tarkowski, wants to move to boost his international chances having not played for the Three Lions since 2018 after earning his only two caps.
Leicester continue to monitor his situation but are yet to bid this window, having had two offers of around £30million rejected in January. Speaking about James Tarkowski manager Sean Dyche said, “I’ve got no other thoughts than him being in our plans. That is certainly my take on it and certainly my strong advice to the chairman and the board,”
