Jacob Holland-Wilkinson Joins Lancaster City From Preston North End
Lancaster City have this afternoon confirmed the signing of exciting Preston North End youngster Jacob Holland-Wilkinson on a youth loan deal. The seventeen year old striker has trained with his new teammates in the last week and and is expected to feature in Saturday’s squad who travel to Grantham Town Football Club.
Lancaster City manager Mark Fell thinks the youngster could make a real impact at the Giant Axe stadium, speaking about the signing he said, “He’s got great enthusiasm for the game and we’ve seen him a few times and he’s very sharp, the sort of dynamic striker we’re missing with Rhys Turner injured. It’s great exposure for him to a strong level of football and if it helps his development, whilst improving us, then it’s a perfect solution for all.”
Jacob Holland-Wilkinson has recently had a successful loan spell at Kendal Town in the Northern Premier League Division One West. He has also played for Preston North End U18’s team last season scoring fourteen goals including an outstanding volley in the FA Youth Cup last season.
