Burnley Goalkeeper Joins AFC Fylde On Loan

Lewis Thomas Joins Vanarama National League North Side

Burnley Football Club have confirmed that Clarets teenage goalkeeper Lewis Thomas has joined Vanarama National League North side AFC Fylde on a short-term work experience loan. The eighteen year old is set to make his first team debut for the Coasters in their FA Trophy third-round tie at Boston United today.

Former Trophy winners AFC Fylde moved for Thomas following injuries to senior keepers Chris Neal and Max Johnstone, the move will give the Clarets’ youngster a third year scholar at Turf Moor after signing from Manchester City at the start of last season. The chance to play first-team football for the first time after alternating between the U18 and U23 squads at Burnley Football Club this season.
