Jason Knight Is A Clarets January Transfer Target
Burnley Football Club are reportedly chasing impressive Derby County teenager Jason Knight, according to reports in nation newspapers the Clarets are eyeing Jason Knight as a potential target with the club’s new owners keen on signing some rising stars. He has been an ever present in the Rams side during 2020, proving an important figure in the midfield over the last two seasons.
ALK Capital completed the takeover of the Premier League club late last month, bringing in Alan Pace as the clubs new Chairman who has already agreed to support the Clarets boss Sean Dyche in the January transfer window. However reports suggest that manager Wayne Rooney will be looking for around £20 million before he can leave Pride Park.
Having joined Derby’s academy system from Irish club Cabinteely in 2017, the versatile teenager also earned his international debut this year and has gone on to make three appearances for the Republic of Ireland so far. Knight has been used across the midfield and sometimes further forward on the flanks by boss Wayne Rooney and seems to be someone the former England captain has a huge amount of faith in.
