Jonjoe Kenny Looking to Leave Goodison Park
Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny could be on the move in the January transfer window with Burnley interested in taking the defender to Turf Moor. The Clarets are looking to make a move for Kenny but, so far, there have been no talks between the two clubs.
Jonjoe Kenny was an unused substitute for Everton during the 2-1 win at Wolves last night amid growing uncertainty over his Goodison future. The 23-year-old was part of the Blues’ matchday squad for only the ninth time in the league this season and could be on the move this month. Kenny, was hoping his season on loan at Bundesliga outfit Schalke would put him in a position to challenge Seamus Coleman for Everton’s right-back slot.
However the Academy product has made only one start in the league, with Carlo Ancelotti preferring Mason Holgate in that position of late. The Italian also favoured Alex Iwobi at right-wing back when he changed Everton’s formation to a 3-4-3 before Christmas. It’s believed Everton to be putting together a fresh list of potential right-back targets for the summer as they try and find the long-term heir to Coleman’s throne
