Sean Dyche Will Offer Kyle Bartley Contract In the Summer
Burnley Football Club and Newcastle United are considering making a move for West Bromwich Albion central defender Kyle Bartley this summer, according to reports in the Telegraph. The situation is currently looking bleak for the Baggies and boss Sam Allardyce who are currently ten points off safety on the Premier League with nine games remaining.
If West Bromwich are relegated to Sky Bet Championship at the end of the season, it appears there is a good chance that Kyle Bartley will remain in the top flight once again next season. The Clarets want to sign the defender and it is suggested that they could make a move if West Bromwich Albion fail to get themselves out of trouble. Bartley, only has one year left on his contract this summer. So it appears that the Baggies will certainly have a decision to make at the end of the season.
ESPN recently noted that West Bromwich will hope to cut the wage bill if the club go down to Sky Bet Championship Kieran Gibbs’s £70,000-a-week wages are set to be moved on, with the left-back heading for the exit. Kyle Bartley is a senior figure at the Hawthorns so it would be no surprise if he was on a substantial wage also. He has impressed at times in the top flight, so he may be a shrewd signing should another club make their move.
