Clarets Chasing Marc Albrighton From Premier League Rivals
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is set to make a shock bid to sign winger Marc Albrighton from Leicester City. Albrighton was a key member of the Foxes first team that won the Premier League back in 2016. However, the winger has struggled to get into Brendan Rodgers first team and has not been getting enough game time last season.
Dyche, believes he can lure the 31-year-old to Turf Moor with a promise of regular first team football. Albrighton has just twelve months remaining on his contract and could be interested in a move to another Premier League club. The Clarets are keen to add an extra winger to the squad after failing to win the race for Ashley Young who joined Aston Villa instead of the Clarets this summer. Albrighton would be a similar type of player and comes with the kind of solid experience that Dyche admires.
Albrighton, would also be relatively cheap with just one year remaining on his contract and he would give the Clarets an options down both wings. Burnley are still in the hunt for another defender with Nottingham Forest Joe Worrall and Middlesbrough’s Dael Fry still being linked with the club.
