Mbaye Diagne – Clarets In Negotiations For Senegal international Striker
According to reports in the Turkish press (Takvim) Burnley, Watford and Bournemouth are all interested in signing the Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne. It is reported that the striker wants to pursue a career in England after spending the last six months on loan with West Bromwich Albion. Diagne, is not included in Fatih Terim’s plans for next season at Galatasaray and he is yet to arrive back in Istanbul for pre-season training.
The Senegal international has received ‘special permission’ from his manager and the Süper Lig club’s board to sort out his future. Diagne’s agent has held meetings with the interested clubs, who have all made offers for the striker.
Turkish press (Takvim) state negotiations are being carried out so that both the attacker’s salary and his club’s demand for a fee of €3-4m are being met. But significant progress has been made in negotiations with Burnley, suggesting Sean Dyche could have an advantage over his rival Premier League managers. It’s believed a ‘positive development’ could be expected within the next ten days.
