Clarets Join Newcastle United In Race to Sign Phil Jones
Manchester United have slapped a staggering £15million price-tag on Central defender Phil Jones. The Reds defender has made only one league appearance in two year, which was the 1-0 defeat to Wolves this month, after falling out of favour with previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Burnley Football Club are said to be interested in the former England International but have no intention of matching United’s demand or the player’s £100,000-a-week salary. Newcastle United could afford the package but St James Park boss Eddie Howe has more pressing transfer targets to aim for first in this window.
All of which adds Jones to the already significant group of unsettled United outcasts struggling to force moves. It was revealed last week, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are all facing uncertain futures, along with Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek and now Phil Jones.
