Former Clarets Defender Joins Doncaster Rovers

Oliver Younger Signs Eighteen Month Contract At Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster Rovers have this afternoon confirmed they have signed defender Ollie Younger on an eighteen month contract at the Keepmoat Stadium. The highly rated twenty-two year old has put pen to paper with Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday afternoon joining from fellow Sky Bet League One side Sunderland. 

Younger, came through the ranks at Premier League club Burnley and was named on the bench by Sean Dyche in 2018. He then spent time on loan at St Patrick’s Athletic before joining up with Sunderland in September 2020. The defender has impressed in the North East in both cup competitions and league games and signed an improved contract in 2021.

However he has since found it hard to get regular time on the pitch at the Stadium of Light and has therefore made the switch to South Yorkshire and could make his Doncaster Rovers debut against MK Dons this Saturday.
