Vincent Kompany Interested In Blackpool Full-Back As First Summer Signing
Clarets new incoming boss Vincent Kompany will turn his attention to signing Blackpool right-back Jordan Gabriel, the Clarets are still yet to officially announce the Belgian’s arrival with work permits said to be causing a delay. Nonetheless, reports on Sunday morning state he’s already eyeing his first summer recruit.

Burnley Football Club want to ‘raid’ Blackpool for Gabriel, only one year after his arrival from Nottingham Forest. The right-back was on loan at Bloomfield Road during their promotion season from Sky Bet League One before joining permanently.
Links with the right-back come as a slight surprise given Burnley already have Connor Roberts and Matt Lowton in that position. Given the work needed to bolster other areas of the squad, right-back doesn’t appear to be an obvious first priority.
However, the report does state that Gabriel could be a replacement for Roberts who could be on the radar of Premier League sides after his exploits with Wales. The former Swansea City defender helped his country qualify for the FIFA World Cup (Qatar) last week.
Blackpool are still involved in their own manager search after the exit of Neil Critchley with Liam Rosenior is the odds-on favourite to take the role and it’s unlikely there would be any movement before either manager is appointed.
