Clarets Sign Samuel Bastien From Standard Liege
Burnley Football Club have this afternoon confirmed the fifth summer signing with midfielder Samuel Bastien joining the club on a three year contract from Standard Liege for an undisclosed fee. The twenty-five year old has spent the last four seasons at Standard Liege making 123 appearances, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Bastien, an Anderlecht academy product, moved to Italy to sign for Chievo Verona in 2016 and featured 35 times in Serie A before returning to Belgium. On the international front, the Meux-born midfielder has played for the Red Devils at U19 and U21 level, before opting to represent DR Congo senior side.
After joining the Clarets, Bastien said, “I’m very proud to join Burnley Football Club and I’m excited to discover the Sky Bet Championship in my new colours. I can’t wait to get started, begin pre-season and meet my new teammates.”
