Burnley Football Club have confirmed the signing of Welsh winger Tom Tweedy from Cymru Premier League side Penybont FC. The eighteen year old has made 25 appearances for Penybont Football Club over the last eighteen months, netting his first professional goal earlier this month in a 5-1 victory over Caernarfon.

Upon signing his deal at the Barnfield Training Centre, Tweedy was excited about what lies ahead with the Clarets saying, “This is a really proud moment for me and my family joining a club like Burnley. It’s the right time and the right place for me to come now and I know this will be somewhere I can progress in my career. There are some really great people at the club, which I have already met in my short time here over the last few days and I just can’t wait to get going now out on the pitch.”
