Clarets Chasing Swans Defender

Kyle Bartley Interesting Clarets

As the Clarets look set to lose England centre-back Michael Keane this summer, the Burnley boss Sean Dyche is currently checking his options and Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley is firmly in his sights.

Dyche will faces competition for the central defender who is currently on loan at Leeds United, with former Clarets manager Eddie Howe at Bournemouth attempted to sign the ex-Arsenal man in the January transfer window, he is expected to try again alongside Mark Hughes at Stoke City and of course Gary Monk at Leeds should they win promotion to the Premier League.

Bartley has impressed in the Sky Bet Championship and has worn the armband at Elland Road when skipper Liam Bridcutt has been unavailable.  The defender has one season left on his deal at the Liberty Stadium and Paul Clement could cash in for the rights deal after the club loaned him out twice during his time with the Welsh club.
