Paul Caddis Looking To Win Contract At Valley Parade
Bradford City manager David Hopkin has confirmed that former Blackburn Rovers player and current free agent Paul Caddis trained with the club yesterday and will continue to do so all this week. Caddis, can play in either a defensive central midfield role or as right back which is were the Bantams will need him at present.
Hopkin, currently has both Kelvin Mellor and Joe Riley out injured, which means the club does not have a specialist right back available at the moment and he sees Paul Caddis as a potential replacement.
Capped once by Scotland in 2016, Caddis spent five years with Birmingham City before joining Bury Football Club for the second half of the 2016-17 season. He then moved to Ewood Park making 14 league appearances for Blackburn Rovers in their League One promotion campaign, but left by mutual consent at the end of the transfer window.
Speaking about Paul Caddis the City manager David Hopkin said, “Paul came into the yesterday and we’ll see how things transpire over the week. We need an option because of the injuries for the next month and he can play a number of positions and having a couple of utility players is what we’ve been lacking.”
