Nottingham Forest In Heaton Talks

Nottingham Forest Interested In Tom Heaton Loan Deal

According to reports in the Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest are currently in talks with the Clarets about taking Tom Heaton on loan to the City ground until the end of the season, with Nick Pope, Anders Lindegaard, Joe Hart and Adam Legzdins all available to play at Turf Moor the club may be tempted to let club captain Heaton leave and have a run of games in the Sky Bet Championship.

Despite the fact that the Reds look to be promotion contenders this season many Forest fans still remain unconvinced by Costel Pantilimon between the sticks. The 31-year-old is one of the tallest players in world football standing at 6ft 8in tall and has played every minute of their league campaign. However, the international has struggled at times this season and the reserve goalkeeper Luke Steele doesn’t appear to be providing much in the way of competition behind him.

It is a big decision for both club and player with Tom Heaton having just taken the number spot back from Joe Hart at Turf Moor. If Nottingham Forest could get Tom Heaton for the rest of the season it would be a real boost to their promotion hopes.
