City Striker Kieran Feeney Signs In at Shawbridge
Lancaster City Football Club have this afternoon confirmed that striker Kieran Feeney has joined BetVictor Northern Premier North West Division side Clitheroe Football Club in order to play more first team football. After training with his new team-mates for the first time on Tuesday, Feeney is set to be involved in Saturday’s home game against Dunston.
Blackburn-born Feeney ends a near four-month stay at Lancaster City following a brief spell at Atherton Collieries at the start of the season. After starting his career at Turf Moor in the Academy set-up he also had spells at Wolves and Barnsley. the young frontman will be looking to get firing again with the Blues.
Speaking about his lastest signing manager Phil Brown said, “We’ve been watching him for sometime and he’s looked good, he also looked good in training this week and hopefully he goes on and does well for the club.”
Having not won a match since New Year’s Day are doing everything possible to stop a promising season from fading away with the signing of Kieran Feeney following last week’s work-experience ‘loan’ captures of Preston North End pair Lincoln McFayden and Tyrhys Dolan, who scored on his debut in Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at North-West leaders Workington Town.
