QPR & Coventry City Chasing Daniel Agyei
Both QPR and Coventry City are interested in taking Clarets striker Daniel Agyei on loan, this would the young striker would have to head to the Ricoh Arena until at least January after the emergency loan window was scrapped for the forthcoming season.
Agyei, joined the Clarets development squad from AFC Wimbledon on a long-term deal in August 2015, after scoring 35 goals during the 2014/15 season for the Don’s U21 side. He was close to making the breakthrough at Kingmeadow before the Clarets beat the likes of Chelsea and Crystal Palace for his signature.
The London-born striker made his full debut for the Premier League club during their pre-season friendly against Bradford City last weekend, followed by a full 90 minutes in their 2-1 victory over Bolton on Tuesday.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is looking to further his development by sending him out on loan with QPR and the Sky Blues interested. However, the skillful but powerful striker is yet to make his league debut and is an inexperienced option for boss Tony Mowbray.
The Coventry City boss has also been linked with a loan move for Burnley centre-back Kevin Long, but at present the Clarets are waiting to see if they will receive another bid for Michael Keane from Leicester City before allowing Long to go out on loan.
