Manchester United Target Michael Keane
As Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his defensive options in the coming January transfer window Manchester United are now favourites to sign their former defender from Burnley.
Keane only left Old Trafford in January 2015, however the bookmakers have him down for an Old Trafford comeback in the January transfer window.
Whether United would sanction another former youth player returning for big money, following Paul Pogba’s world-record second coming remains to be seen.
Rio Ferdinand pointed out that during Burnley’s draw at Old Trafford recently the away side’s best performers were former United players Michael Keane and Tom Heaton.
Keane was outstanding for Burnley as they kept United out and the Stockport born defender has developed into one of the Premier League’s most reliable centre-backs.
Whilst at Old Trafford he made just five first-team appearances before being loaned out to Leicester City, Derby County, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley before making the temporary switch to Sean Dyche’s side permanent in January 2015.
